How to succeed in the face of challenging situations?

Success is achievement or your goals and objectives. For an athlete to win a game is a success. For a business man to gain profit is a measure of success. For a student to finished college is an achievement. For an applicant to be hired in a job is a victory. Success depends on our goals and objectives.

Perseverance and patience . 

I remember the saying “Try and try until you succeed! “ .  Perseverance and patience is a factor, the attitude of working hard to achieve your goals in spite of the challenging situations, difficulties, trials, hindrances, obstacles but if you look forward to your goal, no matter how hard it is, how rough the road is you will still move on and nothing can stop you , even spears can’t stop you , like in Filipino saying “ Harangan ka man ng sibat !“.

Do not give up. There are times that people could easily swayed and give up. At work, if you’re new and the job is challenging or difficult and people may look down on you or belittle you, this situation make you think of giving up and just resign, but that action only shows that you are weak and can’t handle stress , challenges and difficult situations. You should not GIVE UP, instead analyze the situation , find ways to resolve it, if the job is difficult , exert extra effort, do your best, research more, study more, observe from the experts, build connections, find people who can train and help you, improve yourself , study and learn new skills, observe good work ethics and never mind bashers, they should not stop you on becoming a better person and achieving your goals.

The Biblical Principles of Perseverance

Good work + perseverance + do not give up will result to Success. In Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. “ Don’t give up because good works, perseverance and hard work will be blessed by the Lord  , “ you will reap a harvest “ , you will achieve SUCCESS .

Change your attitude, be willing to learn more. When it comes to studying, subjects are really challenging, Math, Accounting, Programming, English, Physics, Engineering subjects etc, the teacher is a terror.  what will you do? Are you just going to give up? Just let your grades failed or just DROPPED the subjects.  No, giving up , failing or dropping should not be your option. Face the challenges, accept it , double your effort , work hard, research, stop gaming, stop chatting during classroom discussion , listen well , do the exercises , do not just copy , do your homework, do advance study. In principles of education there is a saying that “Learning depends on the learners’ willingness to learn more! “. If you don’t know something, you’re not good at this subject, that subject is very difficult, you’re really having hard time , the subject is really problematic. The key is to “study “ , work your way on it, no matter how difficult it is if you will do your best, spend time to study all difficult things will be easier. As the saying says “Practice makes perfect “ , just be willing to learn , be patient and persevere. Condition your mind, I want to learn this so I can learn this and it will happen.

Hard-work means you are diligent, industrious, conscientious, assiduous, sedulous, painstaking, persevering, unflagging, untiring, tireless, indefatigable, studious. energetic, keen, enthusiastic, driven, zealous.

The Biblical Principles on Work Ethics

Good Deeds and good work ethics means rewards from the Lord.  

The Biblical principle of good work ethics is very simple ,in everything you do ,do it heartily. If you just want to please your boss, you will just work hard when he is around and just play around when no one is watching. When working for the Lord you will do your best with or without supervision knowing that the Lord who watches will bless you according to your deeds.  In Colossians 3:23-24 “ 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for man.  24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. “ It is difficult to please people to get promoted or get salary increase but if you are working for the Lord as He has promised you will receive reward from the Lord, you can even ask the Lord for promotion and salary increase.

Biblical Principle : Live according to the word of God the Bible

The word of the Lord is true, it is powerful and effective, Learn it, Live by it and experience SUCCESS! In Joshua 1:8  “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. “
