10 deadly diseases based on Bible verses:
Leprosy: A chronic infectious disease.
Leviticus 13:2-3: "When anyone has a swelling or a rash or a shiny spot on their skin that may be a defiling skin disease, they must be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons who is a priest. The priest is to examine the sore on the skin, and if the hair in the sore has turned white and the sore appears to be more than skin deep, it is a defiling skin disease. When the priest examines that person, he shall pronounce them ceremonially unclean."
Boils: Painful skin infections.
Exodus 9:10: "So they took soot from a furnace and stood before Pharaoh. Moses tossed it into the air, and festering boils broke out on people and animals."
Pestilence: A deadly epidemic disease.
2 Samuel 24:15: "So the Lord sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning until the appointed time. And there died of the people from Dan to Beersheba seventy thousand men."
Emerods (Hemorrhoids): Painful swelling or bleeding in the anal or rectal areas.
1 Samuel 5:6: "The hand of the Lord was heavy upon the people of Ashdod, and he destroyed them and struck them with tumors, both Ashdod and its territory."
Plague of Frogs: Not a disease, but a debilitating plague that caused distress.
Exodus 8:2-4: "But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will plague all your country with frogs. The Nile shall swarm with frogs that shall come up into your house and into your bedroom and on your bed and into the houses of your servants and your people, and into your ovens and your kneading bowls."
Plague of Locusts: Again, not a disease, but a devastating event causing famine.
Exodus 10:14-15: "The locusts came up over all the land of Egypt and settled on the whole country of Egypt, such a dense swarm of locusts as had never been before, nor ever shall be again. They covered the face of the whole land, so that the land was darkened, and they ate all the plants in the land and all the fruit of the trees that the hail had left. Not a green thing remained, neither tree nor plant of the field, through all the land of Egypt."
Murrain: A deadly disease affecting livestock.
Exodus 9:3: "Behold, the hand of the Lord will fall with a very severe plague upon your livestock that are in the field, the horses, the donkeys, the camels, the herds, and the flocks."
Inflammation: General term for various inflammatory conditions.
Deuteronomy 28:22: "The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish."
Death of the Firstborn: Not a disease, but a divine plague causing widespread death.
Exodus 12:29: "At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well."
Blindness and Madness: Resulting from disobedience to God.
Deuteronomy 28:28: "The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness, and confusion of mind."
These verses illustrate the various forms of suffering and disease described in the Bible, often as a consequence of divine judgment or natural calamity.
